Choosing your board...

The starting point is to measure from the ground to your chin when standing. This measurement is approximate to the length of board that you will ride. It's not a rigid rule but it's a good place to start.

If you are light for your height you can drop down a size and if you are heavy for your height you can go up a size as what we are interested in is what is called the Uniform Distributed Load (UDL) - in other words, the way that the surface area of the board spreads your weight across the snow.

Similarly, if you will be predominantly riding in the park, you can go smaller and if you want to spend most of your time riding powder, it is a good idea to go bigger as that will decrease the UDL and therefore increase 'float' over the powder.

The next issue is the size of your feet. If your feet are UK size 11 or larger, you should go for a board with a wide waist - in our range that means the Freedom 160w, 163w, 167w or the Expression 163. It is possible to ride a narrower board but you will need to consider using riser plates between the board and your bindings to avoid your toes or heels dragging in the snow when you edge the board.

Our board range splits into 2 groups:

The Courage and Deviant boards are symmetrical twin tips optimised for freestyle riding but they can still be used on the slopes by setting your bindings back from the centre by one or two positions (20mm or 40mm).

The Freedom, Expression and Fun boards are 'directional' twin tips in that the nose is, typically, 20mm longer than the tail and the normal binding position is offset from the centre position towards the tail by between 20 and 50mm. This optimises the board for riding the slopes but you can still shift the binding position back to the centre for riding in the park if you want.

The Courage, Freedom and Fun boards are full cap construction. That is to say that the top sheet effectively curves over the core and meets the top of the metal edge. This construction uses less material and therefore the boards are slightly lighter. It is also less expensive as there are fewer processes involved in the production phase.

The Deviant and Expression are sidewall construction with ABS sidewalls that sit between the top sheet and the base to protect the core. This is a more expensive construction in terms of material costs and provides slightly increased protection to the edges of the board from impact damage.

If you are in any doubt which board would be best for you, please do not hesitate to contact us for advice.

The range...

Courage

This is our full-on hardcore jib-meister... If you want to show off your moves in the park then this is the board for you. The generous flex and energetic pop also makes it an ideal board for starting out.

A symetrical twin tip coupled with a full wood core and high speed sintered base means no compromise.

Deviant

A direct evolution of last season's True Competition ridden by Samantha Rogers and Cody Heirons with stunning results, the True Deviant is a no-holds-barred freestyle twin-tip for shredding in the park and pipe.

Expression

This season, the Expression has had a slight colour make-over but otherwise it is the same as our best selling board from last season. A directional twin design with flex characteristics tuned to match the board size, the Expression will deliver the smoothest ride on the mountain for both boys and girls.

The UV coated topsheet has clear windows to show off the visual beauty of the inner wood core.

Freedom

A classic directional twin tip shape coupled with a full wood core and sintered base delivers smooth and responsive riding across the board.

Centre your stance for freestyle riding or offset for riding the slopes and the powder. Whatever your style - experience the Freedom. Three wide models available for those with big feet.

Fun

Small but perfectly formed - The Fun is for the smaller rider but has all the same materials and quality of our full size boards. With a full wood core and high speed sintered base, these are high spec boards.

Our riders notched up an impressive tally of 3 Gold and 2 Silver medals on these boards in the 2008 British Championships.
